DAY FELLOWS PROGRAM

Day Fellows is a pilot program designed to offer local creative artists the opportunity to work at Edenfred during the day, one day per week for a two-month duration. Day Fellows are free to work in public spaces in the house and do not receive a designated work space. The program is especially appropriate for writers and those whose work materials are easily portable.

Day Fellows are selected through the same process as Resident Fellows.

Three Day Fellows are selected for each of four 2-month blocks:

Feb-Mar, Apr-May, July-Aug, Sept-Oct.

While there are no formal expectations to present completed work at the end of a fellowship, a brief project proposal or outline of intent is required as part of the application. If applying as a collaborative team, one application needs to include resumes of the collaborators along with a joint project proposal. Your work samples
may be individual or evidence your previous collaborations. Please indicate in the proposal what requirements you have for workspace.

Facilities:

Work space: Day Fellows are encouraged to work throughout the house and property.  Edenfred, while sturdily constructed, is not sound-proof  between rooms and floors.

A grand piano is available in the living room; there is no private sound-proof music studio.  Visual art studio space is not available.

Telecommunications: Edenfred is networked for wireless internet access throughout.

Kitchen: Day Fellows are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare lunch.
